Fans of the Hyundai Sonata with the news that the brand new Sonata mid sizer will be launching in February with two new engines in it’s line up.
The first of these will be Hyundai’s 2.4 liter naturally aspirated petrol engine coming in with 138kW of power.
However what’s got fans excited is the new 2.0 turbo-petrol engine with 180kW.
This engine is likely to give the new Sonata the title of most powerful four-cylinder mid sized car in Australia.
However in the total segment the Hyundai is not the beefiest vehicle in it’s segment. That honour goes to Nissan’s Altima Ti-S which is equipped with a 183kW 3.5 litre V6, and the Volkswagen Passat V6 FSI comes out on top with its 220kW 3.6 litre narrow-angle V6.
Keen an eye out for the new Sonata which launches in Australia on Feb 10.
