2015 Subaru WRX STI Unveiled at Detroit Motor Show
Fans of Subaru’s WRX SIT will be pleased to know that the model will continue in quality form with the 2015 model recently announced in Detroit.
Key features include:
- The giant rear deck wing, which has always been a WRX STI signature.
- STI badges and the lightweight 18-inch BBS wheels – painted gold to go with the WR Blue paint as part of the limited 1,000 unit-run Launch Edition.
- EJ-series 2.5 litre turbocharged flat-four engine producing 305 hp at 6,000 rpm and 394 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm.
The customary hood scoop feeds not the newer direct-injection 2.0 litre FB Boxer found in the WRX, but theoutgoing STI’s EJ-series 2.5 litre turbocharged flat-four engine that produces 305 hp at 6,000 rpm and 394 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. Top speed is said to be 264 km/h, though no acceleration figures have been mentioned.
