The Jaguar F-Type Coupe
Jaguar will be releasing its F-Type Coupe R within the year and its a mix of the bad and the good. It really depends on what your standards are. But so far from the looks of it, the F-Type is one speedy machine.
Here are some interesting things you should know about the F-Type Coupe R:
- There’s a dashboard button to activate the wing at lower speeds but you’d have to wonder why given it mars the smooth lines of the new roof that replaces the folding soft-top in the original version of Jaguar’s latest two-seat sports car.
- The F-Type R, the supercharged V8 version with 404kW of power – more than that available in the same basic engine for the soft-top version – they’ve not only foregone the option of buying a Porsche 911 instead but also paid at least $219,600 for the privilege.
- Apart from the guts and glory of the supercharged R, the liftback coupe body adds some much needed practicality. Instead of being able to maybe slotting an iPad and a (small) pizza into the convertible’s ridiculously small boot, the long and adequately deep luggage area under the coupe’s rear glass will take 407 litres of luggage.
