First Look: 2015 Hyundai i20
The official images of the 2015 Hyundau i20 has been released and it’s better than the sketches they’ve shown earlier this year. The photos was released months ahead prior to its October launch. From the photos, we can see that the model is slightly bigger than most European market car it replaces.
Here’s what we found out:
- It measures 4035 millimetres in length and has a wheelbase that has been stretched to 2570mm (an increase of 45mm). The boot is said to have jumped in size, too, to 326 litres.
- In terms of appearance the European-designed model boasts plenty of style, with large sharp headlights with LED daytime running lights, a bold hexagonal grille reminiscent of the much dearer Genesis luxury sedan, and a bold lower bumper design.
- No technical details have been made available, though it is expected the new i20 will be powered by a 1.2-litre petrol engine with 62kW and 119Nm in Europe, along with a range of diesels spanning from a 1.1-litre with 55kW/180Nm to a 1.4 diesel with 66kW/220Nm.
