The Lexus LF-C2 Concept Topless
The Lexus LF-C2 is a concept sports car that could be an overture to a new Lexus convertible. The first of its kind was showcased on the Los Angeles Motor Show. According to Lexus, LF-C2 is a roadster concept and therefore it does not require a top over its cabin.
The LF-C2 stretches 4715mm long, 1840mm wide, and 1385mm high. Dimensions that make it approximately the same size as the RC Coupe rumored to be released soon. It wears a deep front bumper fitted with air vents and an aggressive front end characterized by a bold rendition the notable Lexus spindle grille. The LF-C2 is only shown in one body style that includes a 2+2 roadster with two big front seats and two smaller back seats.
In front of the LF-C2 is the massive grille bordered by the triangular-shaped LED headlamps. At the back, L-shaped tail lamps, chrome-tipped quad exhaust pipes, and fin-like rear diffusers steal the show. Another defining characteristic is the multifaceted lustrous yellow paint job. According to Lexus, the paint is applied in phases. The first phase being a primer, followed by silver, a clear coat, and then a golden lustrous yellow that mirrors off the silver to produce that extra gleam.
Lexus has not hinted anything about the engine specs, though we would assume that if they produce the RC Coupe/LF-C2. Theoretically, we would expect it to be powered by a four-cylinder 2.0-liter turbocharged engine and a 3.5-liter V6.
Although the LF-C2 is a concept car, it should be able to compete squarely against the BMW 4-series convertible and the Audi Cabriolet.
