Aston Martin’s New Lagonda Taraf to Be Available Outside Of Middle East
Aston Martin officially took the wraps off its new ultra-exclusive Lagonda sedan in Dubai late last year. Christened Lagonda “Taraf” Arabic for “luxury,” the Lagonda will now be available in either left or right-hand drive configurations.
Although the car was initially available only to customers in the Middle East, the re-engineered Lagonda Taraf will now be available to buyers in other parts of the world including Europe, United Kingdom, South Africa, and all E.U compliant markets.
According to Andy Palmer, Aston Martin’s new CEO, increasing the number of customers around the globe was a high priority for him and that the company was evaluating the possibility of widening Taraf’s availability outside of the Middle East.
Just like its exclusive siblings like the One-77, the Vulcan, and the V12 Zagato, the Lagonda Taraf will be engineered by the finest craftsmen at the company’s manufacturing facilities in Gaydon, Warwickshire.
Built on the company’s VH architecture, the Taraf draws inspiration from the highly sought after William Town’s Lagonda design of 1976. In addition , the super salon includes a wide range of innovative engineering techniques similar to those of the company’s sports cars, including the extensive use of carbon fiber body panels.
Under the hood, a 6.0-liter V12 engine powers the four-seat Lagonda Taraf. While the super saloon will be offered to clients through Aston Martins VIP sales programme, the exact pricing details have been kept confidential and are likely to be considerably different due to the high levels of bespoke content.
Unfortunately, no information has yet been released of its availability in Australia or North America.
